The Iowa State Cyclones will take on the #9 Memphis Tigers at 9:30 p.m. ET Friday at Barclays Center. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
The Cyclones can’t say they have nothing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving week. They captured a comfortable 82-70 win over the Xavier Musketeers on Wednesday. Four players on Iowa State scored in the double digits: guard Izaiah Brockington (30), guard Tyrese Hunter (19), guard Gabe Kalscheur (12), and forward George Conditt IV (10). This also makes it three games in a row in which Tyrese Hunter has had at least three steals.
As for Memphis, they have more to be thankful for after their game against the Virginia Tech Hokies on Wednesday. Memphis beat Virginia Tech 69-61. Memphis’ forward DeAndre Williams filled up the stat sheet, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.
The Cyclones have to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 12 point spread they are up against. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with Iowa State, who are 2-2 against the spread.
