Former champions Deiveson Figueiredo and Douglas Lima want revenge.
On this week’s episode of MMA Fighting’s Portuguese-language podcast Trocação Franca with Guilherme Cruz, ex-UFC and Bellator titleholders open up on recent setbacks and what’s next in their careers.
Figueiredo discusses his upcoming trilogy with UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno on Dec. 11, training with Henry Cejudo in the U.S., the racist remarks made by Moreno’s coach Marcelo Rojo prior to the rematch, and much more.
Then Lima, who meets Michael Page a second time at Friday’s Bellator card in London, looks back at his disappointing performance in recent title fights, a possible rematch with undefeated champ Yaroslav Amosov, and his future in MMA and boxing.
FanByte journalist Fernanda Prates also stops by to discuss all things UFC 266, from Alexander Volkanovski’s epic battle with Brian Ortega to Valentina Shevchenko’s untouchable reign and Nick Diaz’s return versus Robbie Lawler. Prates also weighs in on Jon Jones’ latest arrest and the Khabib vs. Octagon girls controversy.
Trocação Franca will drop weekly every Wednesday with different Brazilian MMA stars and journalists to debate the hottest topics in the Brazilian combat sports world.
