Mexican authorities say 26 people were hospitalized in a shocking brawl at a Mexican soccer match on Saturday. The Liga MX match between Queretaro and Atlas saw the game postponed after fans stormed the field with violent clashes occurring on the pitch and in the stands.

Posts on social media showed bloodied bodies laying inside the stadium, with some people continuing to attack those who laid unconscious at Queretaro’s stadium. Parents of children were seen rushing their kids to the exit as fans grabbed chairs and polls to use as weapons during the melee.

According to Mexican news outlet Sopitas, Queretaro’s government said Sunday there were 26 people hospitalized, three in critical condition and 10 with less severe injuries. In addition, zero arrested have been made.

“The violence in the La Corregidora stadium in Queretaro is unacceptable and unfortunate,” Liga MX said on Twitter. “Those responsible for the lack of security in the stadium will be especially punished.”

Atlas, the reigning Liga MX champions, led 1-0 before the match was suspended in the 62nd minute. Liga MX’s disciplinary committee announced that they have begun an investigation into the situation.

All Liga MX games on Sunday were postponed.
