World heavyweight champion Gunther stomps into his longtime former home of Germany at the inaugural Bash in Berlin event. The country hosts its first WWE pay-per-view on Saturday.
Gunther controversially defeated Randy Orton in the King of the Ring tournament to earn a title shot that would cement him as world champion for the first time. “The Ring General” can erase lingering doubts that he’s one of WWE’s top performers by preventing Orton’s 15th world title reign. Gunther plied his craft on the German independent scene and should receive a hero’s welcome at Bash in Berlin.
Meanwhile, undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes is set to take on friend Kevin Owens as the tension between the two continues to heat up the closer we get to match time. Plus, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre continue their year-long feud when the two meet in a strap match that is sure to pack the violence.
