DJ Drama has tapped Queen Latifah to help promote his upcoming album, I’m Really Like That. In a clip on social media, he recreates a scene from the 1992 film Juice, taking on Omar Epps‘ role of Q, while Queen reprises her role as Ruffhouse M.C. in the film.
The remade scene, directed by Jim Jones, captures the interaction between Q and Ruffhouse M.C. as Q auditions to be a DJ at a local club called the Ruff House.
“You ever DJ before,” Queen’s character asks, to which Q responds, “Yea, you know, around the way. Make tapes for boys, stuff like that, you know.”
“Yea, you tryna be like that,” Ruffhouse M.C. says in DJ Drama’s remake. “I really like your tape.” She then jams to some of his music before escorting him out and asking for his name.
“Thank you @queenlatifah For Making A Dream Come True,” Drama captioned the promotional clip. I’m Really Like That will drop on March 31.
