One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Week 5 is Steelers running back Najee Harris ($6,900 DraftKings, $7,300 FanDuel). Running behind a Steelers offensive line that has struggled in 2021, Harris has needed to prove his versatility to make an impact.
Harris has rushed 55 times for 185 yards and a touchdown, but has added 26 receptions for 178 yards and another score through the air. He’s had at least 15 touches in every game this season and even against a solid Broncos run defense, Harris should continue to see regular looks through screens and swing passes as Pittsburgh tries to scheme its way around pressure.
Part of McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Panthers receiver D.J Moore ($7,900 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel), who is currently fourth in the league with 398 receiving yards. Moore is coming off back-to-back eight-catch games, and he posted 126 yards in Week 3 and then 113 yards along with two TDs in Week 4.
Moore gets a boost in the fact that this week’s opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles, have gotten progressively worse against the pass this season. After allowing just one total passing TD over the first two weeks, Philly has allowed eight combined passing scores over the last two weeks.
