Roman Reigns laces up his boots for the first time in six months. WWE’s landscape has dramatically changed since Reigns last performed at WrestleMania 40 in April. Reigns finds an unlikely ally in undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes, who beat him in April, amid a Bloodline power struggle at WWE Bad Blood on Saturday.
Solo Sikoa, Reigns’ former enforcer, seized control of The Bloodline in Reigns’ absence. The new Tribal Chief violently replaced Reigns’ allies in the group with new branches from the Anoaʻi family tree. Reigns is back with a vengeance and aligning with longtime rival Rhodes out of necessity. Reigns and Rhodes take on Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Saturday.
Every Bad Blood event has featured a Hell in a Cell match, including the match type’s debut at the inaugural 1997 card. Bad Blood is back for the first time in 20 years and on the 27th anniversary of the first-ever show. The violent Hell in a Cell structure returns to contain the bitter feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
Along with the feud between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley is the ongoing battle between Damian Priest and his former stablemate Finn Balor. Priest, along with Ripley, were considered the leaders of The Judgement Day for a long time before Mysterio and Balor turned on them both at SummerSlam. Balor cost Priest the world heavyweight title and Priest has been out for revenge ever since, mostly losing the numbers game to the formidable Judgement Day and its five members. Now, Priest and Balor will square off and Judgement Day is likely to factor in some way.
