Destiny’s Child fans are eagerly crossing their fingers for a miraculous reunion and a new album from the iconic girl group. However, the fate of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams reuniting lies in their own hands, according to Mathew Knowles, the group’s longtime manager and Beyoncé’s father.
“It’s a decision that the ladies would have to make,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
Knowles expressed his support for the ladies’ decision, as he still manages the girl group, and shared his own desire for a reunion, saying, “I would love to see that as well.”
The fans have been holding out hope for this momentous occasion ever since the group disbanded in 2006.
The seasoned music executive understands the immense impact such a reunion would have on the devoted fanbase. He believes that they would be “overjoyed, overwhelmed” and adds, “Hopefully they do one last time in their career. Hopefully they give us one last album.”
While nothing is set in stone, Knowles emphasizes that in the world of entertainment, anything can happen.
“You never know,” he said. “You never say it can’t happen. Because this is entertainment. A lot of things can happen.”
