Fantasy Football Rankings 2022: Sleepers by top model that nailed Damien Harris’ huge season

Fantasy Football Rankings 2022: Sleepers by top model that nailed Damien Harris’ huge season

With weapons like Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams for Justin Herbert, the Chargers‘ tight end position has been an afterthought in the 2022 Fantasy football rankings. Each of the team’s last two starters, Hunter Henry (2020) and Jared Cook (2021), finished 15th in the Fantasy football TE rankings, which doesn’t really move the needle. This year, the team added Gerald Everett, who had a strong finish with Seattle last year and could be one of the 2022 Fantasy football sleepers. Only five tight ends had more Fantasy points than Everett over the last five weeks of the 2021 season, so should he be among your 2022 Fantasy football picks? Before crafting your 2022 Fantasy football draft strategy, be sure to check out the 2022 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Patriots running back Damien Harris would dramatically outperform his fifth-round Fantasy football ADP. The result: Harris became the early-down workhorse for New England and rushed for 929 yards and 15 touchdowns to finish as the No. 8 running back in all of Fantasy football. He finished ahead of Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Josh Jacobs and Chris Carson, who were all coming off the board at least 20 picks earlier on average.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, also identifying A.J. Brown as another sleeper in 2020 and players like Julio Jones and JuJu Smith-Schuster as Fantasy football busts last season. Additionally, it’s called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The projections update multiple times daily, so you’re always getting the best Fantasy football advice.

Now, SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest Fantasy football rankings 2022, along with plenty of sleepers, breakouts and busts. Head to SportsLine now to see them

Top 2022 Fantasy football sleepers

One of the 2022 Fantasy football sleepers the model is predicting: Bills running back Devin Singletary. The Bills rotated Singletary and Zack Moss for much of last year before settling on the former as their lead back down the stretch. Over the last five weeks of the regular season, only Rashaad Penny had more Fantasy points at the running back position than Singletary. He finished the year with 1,098 total yards, eight touchdowns and was the RB19 in Fantasy points.

While Buffalo added James Cook in the draft, it appears he will cut into Moss’ role more so than Singletary’s, who was the team’s starter throughout preseason. The Bills want to limit the pounding Josh Allen takes as a goal line rusher and Singletary performed well in short-yardage situations last year. He has a 2022 Fantasy football ADP in the seventh round, but the model puts him ahead of backs like A.J. Dillon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who both are going in the sixth round on average.

Another sleeper that SportsLine’s Fantasy football rankings 2022 have identified: Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert. Following Zach Ertz‘ trade to Arizona, Goedert became an every-down player and produced as one of the top talents at his position. In that role over 10 games, he averaged 61.4 receiving yards, which projects to a 1,000-yard season over 17 games.

Goedert finished 2021 with a 56-830-4 stat line and ranked eighth among tight ends in Fantasy points. However, the model is more optimistic on his 2022 outlook and has Goedert among the top five tight ends in its 2022 Fantasy football TE rankings. It ranks him on par with George Kittle, despite the Niners’ tight end being drafted 25 spots earlier on average. See which other Fantasy football sleepers 2022 to pick here.
