Panama vs. Jamaica odds, picks, how to watch, live stream: Jan. 30 CONCACAF World Cup qualifier predictions

Jamaica and Panama are coming off heartbreaking losses in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying and will meet on Sunday. Jamaica gave up a 1-0 lead with under 10 minutes left in Thursday’s game against Mexico and suffered a 2-1 defeat. Just hours later, Panama appeared headed to a draw, but gave up a second-half goal to fall 1-0 to Costa Rica. Panama is now fourth in the CONCACAF third round standings, while Jamaica sits sixth, with only the top three spots guaranteed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. You can stream all the action on Paramount+.

Kick-off is set for 6:05 p.m. ET at Estadio Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez in Panama City, Panama. Caesars Sportsbook lists the Panamanians as the +102 favorites (risk $100 to win $102) on the 90-minute money line. The latest Panama vs. Jamaica odds also have Jamaica as the +270 underdog, while a draw returns +190. The over-under for total goals is 1.5. Sunday’s match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Paramount+ now has levels of membership so you can watch the World Cup Qualifiers and much more. CONCACAF World Cup qualifying picks for Jamaica vs. Panama

Before you tune in to Sunday’s World Cup qualifiers, you need to see the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers picks from soccer insider Jon Eimer. He is a high-volume bettor who has vast knowledge of leagues and players across the globe. Since joining SportsLine, Eimer has covered the English Premier League, Serie A, the FA Cup and much more. The Indiana-based handicapper compiled a winning record of 260-133-1 with over 90 units of profit for his community on various platforms over a recent two-month stretch.

For Panama vs. Jamaica, Eimer is betting Panama to win on the money line at +102 odds. That’s exactly what happened when these teams last squared off in September 2021, when Panama prevailed 3-0 in Jamaica’s home stadium. The Panamanians controlled possession for 61 percent of the clock in that game and had as many shots on target (six) as Jamaica had total shots.

Results like last September have been par for the course when these two squads get together in recent matches. Over their last three World Cup qualifiers, Panama has posted clean sheet victories in all three matchups. Los Canaleros have outscored Jamaica 7-0 across those three games.

It’s been over 50 years since Panama dropped a home game to Jamaica, and Eimer sees the Panamanians winning on Sunday. He points out that Panama has secured wins over better competition recently, so Jamaica shouldn’t give it much trouble in Matchday 10.

“Not only has Panama been dominant at home, but their recent form has also been fairly impressive,” Eimer told SportsLine. “Coming off a loss against Costa Rica, where they dominated every stat line but goals, they have still won three of their last five, including big wins against USA and a draw against Mexico the month before.”
