One of the top college football picks the model is recommending for Week 11: No. 13 Baylor (+6) stays within the spread against No. 8 Oklahoma in a Big 12 showdown at noon ET on Saturday in Waco. The Bears get to host the Sooners at home and will be looking to bounce back after losing as a favorite to a TCU team that had just parted ways with head coach Gary Patterson.

Oklahoma has messed around with lesser opponents all season, and while SportsLine’s model projects this to be the week it finally catches up with the Sooners in the win/loss column, it does project Baylor to cover the spread. In simulations from SportsLine’s model, Baylor covers the spread well over 50 percent of the time. The model projects a 33-30 Oklahoma win, with Caleb Williams and Gerry Bohanon turning in performances of almost 270 yards and almost 260 yards, respectively. 

Another one of the college football predictions from the model: No. 9 Notre Dame (-5.5) covers against Virginia in a 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday matchup. The Fighting Irish have also been strong against the spread, going 6-3 ATS this season. Virginia, meanwhile, comes into this matchup with big concerns on defense after the Cavaliers gave up 66 points to BYU in their last outing. 

The model sees Notre Dame’s defense keeping Virginia’s high-flying offense in check as the Cavaliers score just 25 points. That contributes to the under (64) hitting almost 60 percent of the time, while Notre Dame wins by double digits and picks up the cover more than 60 percent of the time.
