Ravens vs. Chiefs odds, line, spread, time: 2024 AFC Championship Game picks, predictions by advanced model

The third-seeded Kansas City Chiefs will try to reach the Super Bowl for the fourth time in five years when they visit the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in the 2024 AFC Championship Game. Kansas City (13-6), which is appearing in the conference championship for the sixth consecutive time but first as the road team, won three of its previous four trips and went on to win the Super Bowl twice, including last year. The Chiefs earned their spot in the conference title game by edging Buffalo on the road in the divisional round, while Baltimore (14-4) routed Houston to get to this stage for the first time since 2012, when it defeated New England before beating San Francisco in Super Bowl XLVII.

Kickoff from M&T Bank Stadium is set for 3 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. Baltimore is a 3.5-point favorite in the latest Ravens vs. Chiefs odds via SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 44.5. Why the Ravens can cover

Baltimore has been the cream of the crop in the NFL this season as it has been magnificent against top-notch competition. The Ravens have posted 11 victories and a plus-202 point differential versus winning teams, the highest totals in one campaign in league history. Each of their last four wins have come against opponents with winning records and been by a minimum of 14 points.

The Ravens had the best rushing attack in the NFL during the regular season as they averaged 156.5 yards on the ground per game. They demonstrated their dominance running the ball in their 34-10 victory against Houston in the divisional round, outgaining the Texans 229-38 as Lamar Jackson rushed for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns. It was the third 100-yard postseason rushing performance by the 27-year-old quarterback, who led Baltimore in rushing (821 yards) for the fifth consecutive season in 2023. See which team to pick here.

Why the Chiefs can cover

While Kansas City’s offense wasn’t as strong in the regular season as it has been in previous years, its defense was one of the best in the NFL. The Chiefs were second in the league in total defense (289.8 yards allowed), points allowed (17.3) and sacks (57) while ranking fourth against the pass (176.5 yard allowed). Their pass defense has been impressive in the postseason as well, keeping both Tua Tagovailoa of Miami (199) and Josh Allen of Buffalo (186) under 200 yards.

Patrick Mahomes is the center of Kansas City’s offensive attack, but Isiah Pacheco has emerged as a dangerous weapon for the team. A seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the 24-year-old running back rushed for 935 yards and seven touchdowns while hauling in 44 passes for 244 yards and a pair of scores in his second season. Pacheco, who has found the end zone in each of his last six games, has rushed for at least 76 yards in four of his five career playoff contests and fell three yards shy of 100 against the Bills last weekend. See which team to pick here.
